Boston’s Mysterious Playmate.

  • Weather Forecasts

We shall no longer fully trust national weather warnings.  True, there was widespread reports of upcoming thunder storms and floods, but we forgot the golden New England Weather Rule: That there are no rules.

Enjoy this nice day, see you on July 11th!

  • Scavenger Hunt Date Changed to July 11th!

Scavenger Hunt Date Changed to July 11th, at 12:30PM

Extra! Extra! Due to excessive thunder, and rain, we sadly must change the date for the Scavenger Hunt to July 11th at 12:30PM.

For those who have followed us, you know that we usually never shy away from bad weather. If we were scared of the weather, well, Boston would be a tough place to be.

None-the-less, when it comes to thunderstorms and official warnings from the National Weather Service, well, then we have to take notice.  Getting hit by both lightning and inches of rain is a lose-lose scenario.

Thus, bowing down to the might of the weather, we are switching to the the rain-date of Saturday, July 11th at 12:30PM.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but are excited to see you on July 11th, at 12:30PM!

(Did we mention that the date for the Scavenger Hunt is now July 11th at 12:30PM? Oh, ok, just checking!)

P.S. Starting location will be now announced on July 10th at 11:59PM

  • Second Annual Scavenger Hunt!

    Saturday, July 11th, 12:30PM
    Launch Location TBA July 10th @ 11:59PM

The Banditos Misteriosos are pleased to announce their second Annual Scavenger Hunt!! Last year over 400 participants, making up over 43 teams, stormed Boston, and we are excited to do this again! (Click here for last year’s recap) Featuring new locations, clues, activities, and extras, including a photo component by popular demand!

    —-

    When: Saturday, July 11th, 12:30PM - 4PM.
Where: Starting location to be announced July 10th @ 11:59PM.

    Overall Details:

The details are quite straight forward!

Just like last year, this will be a passport scavenger hunt.  Unlike last year, there will be a photo component, so at least one person on each team will need to have a digital camera or cameraphone.  All the items on the list exist within less than a 5 mile radius from the starting location, so there is no need for alternative transportation. You will be able to complete all the missions using sneakers and brainpower!

There really are no rules, but, for the sake of making it easier on us to create the teams, we ask that all members attempt to fill out our registration form ahead of time (scroll down). It’s nothing scary, just some info so that when you show up, we can get you on your way!

Teams: It is not necessary to come with a team already made. Team size will be created based on overall turnout. You are welcome to bring your friends, we won’t be seperating people, but will add you to larger teams so that everyone has the chance to meet others and work together.

Registering: Pretty self-explanatory. Please fill out our below form! If you weren’t able to sign up in time, don’t worry about it, show up and we’ll set you up with a team.

List: The list will be handed out right at the start of the event. It will consist of people, places, situations and some other random fun mysteries…

Necessary Items: If you have a digital camera, please do bring one.  It’s not necessary, but it will help with team formation.  We additionally recommend a map and some water.

Judging: At 4:00PM sharp, all participants will meet back at our starting location. Passports will be checked and the winning team shall be declared the victor!

Volunteer: Hey! Do you enjoy bandannas? Do you enjoy mystery? We are looking for a few good volunteers to help us run the event itself.  If you are feeling rowdy, strong and adventurous and would like to help out, merely check the box!
